SUBORDINATE UNIT INSPECTION (SUI) WORKSHEET

Best Practices: Know what you are responsible for as a Cadet Programs Officer. SUI Worksheets are a valuable tool to gauge the effectiveness of the implementation of Cadet Programs. It also keeps you informed of your bi-annual inspection criteria.

CADET PROGRAMS OFFICER PRE-REQUISITE TRAINING

SM Required Training: As part of CAP's commitment to keeping cadets safe from the risk of abuse, both adults and cadets are required to satisfactorily complete Cadet Protection Policy (CPP)  training.

CADET Required Training: The mandatory Character Development Forum for all new cadets to promote to Achievement 1, Curry is the Cadet Wingman Course.

Best Practices: Familiarize yourself with the whole Cadet Protection program. Know what training is required for you in regards to your duty assignments and contact level with cadets. EVERY SENIOR MEMBER, regardless of contact with cadets, is required to complete a minimum of Cadet Protection Basic.

Training Leaders of Cadets (TLC)

Best Practices: As soon as practical, all Senior Members who will teach or interact with Cadets on a regular basis need to complete TLC Basic. Ideally, all Senior Members in a Squadron will complete, at a minimum, the TLC Basic course. Cadet Programs Officers leading a unit Cadet Program should also complete TLC Intermediate. Cadet Program Officers whose roles include leadership positions above the Squadron level should complete TLC Advanced.
